ADNP2 (ADNP homeobox 2) is an activity-dependent neuroprotective protein. It consists of a homeobox domain and zinc finger domains. It plays a key role in cell protection. In the nucleus, it functions in chromatin remodeling. It has also been reported that ADNP2 may function in transcriptional regulation. The study shows ADNP2 may have correlation with schizophrenia in humans.
