The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. These images and the collection of this vast data set can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. We also provide Prestige Antibodies® protocols and other useful information.

生化/生理作用
SKI-like proto-oncogene (SKIL) is a regulator of Smad signaling. In the nucleus, it binds to Smad2, Smad3 and Smad4 and represses their ability to activate the transcription of TGF-β target genes in a negative feedback manner. This is done by disrupting the formation of a heteromeric Smad complex and recruiting a transcription corepressor complex to the TGF-β-responsive promoters. It also inhibits the binding of the transcriptional coactivator p300/CBP 2. SKIL is involved in TGF-β-induced proliferation and transformation of ankyrin repeat-containing 2B (AKR-2B) and nik related kinase (NRK) fibroblasts. The cytoplasmic SKIL takes part in antagonizing TGF-β signaling by sequestering the Smad proteins in the cytoplasm.
