Application
Anti-SLC4A2 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Biochem/physiol Actions
SLC4A2 (solute carrier family 4 member 2) is a Cl- (chloride)/HCO3- (bicarbonate) exchanger. SLC4A2 knockout mice shows decreased gastric HCl (hydrogen chloride) secretion and proximal colon Cl- secretion. SLC4A2 is down-regulated in epithelium of patients with primary biliary cirrhosis.

The gene SLC4A2 (solute carrier family 4 member 2) is mapped to human chromosome 7q36.1. The protein is present at the basolateral membrane of many epithelia. SLC4A2 is also referred as AE2 (anion exchanger 2).
