General description
The gene ERCC6L2 (DNA excision repair protein ERCC-6-like 2) is mapped to human chromosome 9q22.32. The protein mainly localizes in the cytoplasm and nucleus. However, in the presence of DNA damage, it translocates to the nucleus and mitochondria. ERCC6L2 is a member of the Snf2 family of helicase-like proteins.
