PVRIG (poliovirus receptor related immunoglobulin domain containing) belongs to the poliovirus receptor-like proteins family. The gene is mainly expressed on T cells. This protein has a single extracellular IgV (immunoglobulin variable) domain, one transmembrane domain and a long intracellular domain.

PVRIG (poliovirus receptor related immunoglobulin domain containing) is a receptor for CD11 (cluster of differentiation 11) and competes with CD226 for this ligand. It suppresses T cell receptor-mediated signaling by working as a co-inhibitory receptor. Disturbance in PVRIG-CD11 complex improves T cell response.
