General description
角质形成细胞生长因子(KGF)是一种18.9 kDa的生长因子,含有163个氨基酸,属于成纤维生长因子家族。它包含一段分泌信号序列,并与FGF-Basic具有39%的同源性。它在多种基质成纤维细胞系、间充质细胞中表达,但在正常胶质细胞和上皮细胞系中并不表达。
Application
人类角质形成细胞生长因子已被用于:
- 作为上皮生长培养基的一种组分
- 作为抗原的阳性对照用于测定抗体活性
- 分析KGF在减少心包粘连中与热灭菌羧甲基壳聚糖(NOCCts)相关的作用
Biochem/physiol Actions
角质形成细胞生长因子(KGF)可刺激角质形成细胞和其他上皮层中细胞的增殖和分化。它会诱导微血管内皮的细胞趋化以及大鼠角膜的新生血管形成。它可刺激正在发生增殖和迁移的基底细胞进行透明质酸合成。KGF有助于细胞在应激条件下的存活。KGF在受损和发生炎症的上皮细胞中具有高表达,从而促进伤口愈合。
Physical form
从含有0.5 mg牛血清白蛋白并经0.2 μm滤膜过滤的磷酸盐缓冲盐水中冻干。
