General description

苹果酸脱氢酶是线粒体同工酶，也是三羧酸循环中的重要催化剂。
Application
采用苹果酸脱氢酶对银杏提取物对寄主钉螺的软体动物的杀灭作用进行了比较研究。 它还被用于研究早期饲养限制对肉鸡代谢程序和补偿性生长的影响。
Biochem/physiol Actions
真核细胞含有两种不同的苹果酸脱氢酶同工酶：线粒体同工酶（m-MDH）和可溶性或细胞质同工酶（s-MDH）。该产品由线粒体同工酶形式组成。
该酶可催化以下反应：草酰乙酸+β-NADH→ L-苹果酸+β-NAD

在pH7.5,25℃条件下，一个单位每分钟可将1.0 μmole的草酰乙酸和β-NADH转化为 L苹果酸和β-NAD。
