Application

General description

4-吗啉乙磺酸钠盐（MES）因其优异的性能而成为科研中常用的两性离子缓冲剂。它可以在pH 5.5-6.5范围内有效缓冲溶液，pKa值为6.1。该产品已通过 BioPerformance 认证，作为缓冲剂广泛应用于生物化学和分子生物学实验中，有助于稳定蛋白质印迹、细胞培养和电泳等不同生物反应中的 pH 值。

MES是为生物学应用开发的所谓的“良好”缓冲液之一。使用MES游离酸的缓冲液可通过使用氢氧化钠对游离酸进行滴定至所需的pH（pKa=±1）而进行制备。或者，可以将一定体积的MES游离酸和MES钠等摩尔溶液混合以达到所需的pH值。已经公布了使用储备溶液来制备给定pH值的缓冲液的标准混合布。

Preparation Note

MES钠可溶于水，25克溶于50毫升水中（约2.3M）可形成澄清无色溶液。溶液的pH值应在9到10之间，具体取决于浓度。在2-8℃ 下，溶液可稳定保存数月。灭菌应通过0.2μm过滤器过滤。不建议高压灭菌。如果缓冲液必须不含核酸酶，则最好先对水进行处理，然后在高压灭菌后再添加缓冲固体。将MES溶液高压灭菌后，其会变成黄色（尽管pH值不会发生太大变化）。黄色分解产物的成分仍未知。
