吗氯贝胺可作为细胞色素P450 2C19（CYP2C19）的底物。它也可充当细胞色素P450 2D6（CYP2D6）、细胞色素P450 1A2（CYP1A2和CYP2C19）的抑制剂。吗氯贝胺还和B细胞淋巴瘤2（BcL-2）表达的增加有关。它还通过胞外调节激酶（ERK）途径使神经干细胞（NSC）分化为血清素能神经元（serotoninergic neuron）。
