应用

α-甲基-DL-酪氨酸甲酯盐酸盐已被用于评估去甲肾上腺素的转换。

生化/生理作用

α-甲基-DL-酪氨酸（α-MT）可防止过度活性、嗅舔啃综合征、厌食症并改善苯丙胺的某些作用。它可抑制多巴胺的产生并防止突变体α-突触核蛋白刺激的细胞凋亡。
酪氨酸羟化酶抑制剂。
