Biochem/physiol Actions
α-甲基-L-酪氨酸（L-AMPT）可作为酪氨酸羟化酶的一种竞争性抑制剂并对酪氨酸向L-DOPA的转化进行抑制，最终降低细胞质中多巴胺的合成。低浓度的AMPT可用作难治性肌张力障碍或运动障碍的一种有效疗法。它还有助于降低嗜铬细胞瘤患者中的儿茶酚胺浓度。
