应用

在自动竞争蛋白结合(CPB)测定中,甲钴胺已被用于制备血清维生素B12的标准溶液。

生化/生理作用

甲基钴胺素(MeCbl)是蛋氨酸合酶的辅酶。在甲基化循环中,蛋氨酸合酶参与高半胱氨酸到蛋氨酸的转化。它具有改善神经系统疾病、腕管综合症和bell′s麻痹的作用。
相较于其他咕啉/钴胺素衍生物来说,维生素B12 类似物是一种效力较低的一氧化氮合酶(NOS)抑制剂。
