一般描述
苯丙氨酸是一种非极性必需氨基酸。在肝脏中，苯丙氨酸转化为酪氨酸，酪氨酸是包括 L -DOPA 和黑色素在内的多种化合物的前体。苯丙氨酸羟化酶活性缺陷导致遗传代谢病苯丙酮尿症 (PKU)。苯丙酮尿症导致苯丙氨酸和苯丙氨酸代谢产物的积累，如果不治疗，可导致生长缺陷和智力发育迟缓。
应用
适用于细胞和组织培养上清、血清及其他生物样本中 L-苯丙氨酸检测
生化/生理作用
通过偶联酶试验测定苯丙氨酸浓度，通过该试验可生产苯丙氨酸脱氨基和 NADH，NADH 与探针反应生成与存在的苯丙氨酸成比例的荧光 (λex = 535 nm/λem = 587 nm) 产物。
