General description
Glucose Dehydrogenase (GDH) belongs to the family of oxioreductases, specifically those acting on the CH-OH group of donor with other acceptors. GDH participates in the pentose phosphate pathway.
Application
The Glucose Dehydrogenase Assay Kit may be used for:
- Metabolism Research
- Drug Discovery
The kit is suitable for the quantitative determination of D-glucose dehydrogenase enzyme activity and drug effects on its metabolism in biological samples (e.g. plasma, serum, tissue and culture media).
Biochem/physiol Actions
The Glucose Dehydrogenase Activity Assay Kit is a non-radioactive, colorimetric GDH assay. It is based on the reduction of the tetrazolium salt MTT in a NADH-coupled enzymatic reaction to a reduced form of MTT which exhibits an absorption maximum at A565 nm. The increase in absorbance at A565 nm is proportional to the enzyme activity.
Features and Benefits
- Efficient and Precise: Requires only 20 μL of sample and a short 15-minute reaction time while detecting glucose dehydrogenase levels across a broad range from 0.5 to 200 U/L, providing both convenience and sensitivity.
- Compatibility with High-Throughput Systems: Easily incorporate our kit into high-throughput handling systems, ensuring smooth and accurate processing, enhancing efficiency in your laboratory workflow.
