General description

骨γ-羧基谷氨酸蛋白(BGLAP)或骨钙素(OCN)是由成骨细胞分泌的非胶原骨基质蛋白。含Gla（γ羧基谷氨酸）结构域。骨钙素编码基因位于人染色体1q22上。
Application
人骨钙素（片段1-49）已被用于鉴定和表征骨钙素的糖化加合物。也用于研究其对小鼠成肌细胞系C2C12分化的影响。
Biochem/physiol Actions
骨γ-羧基谷氨酸蛋白（BGLAP，骨钙素）可调节间充质干细胞的成骨分化。在骨的转换和矿化中起作用。还在能量代谢中起作用。骨钙素(BGLAP)可能是介导骨组织与葡萄糖代谢的因子。
