Biochem/physiol Actions
蛋白激酶A (PKA)控制Hedgehog信号转导，并参与增殖和命运决定。它可以使几种神经递质受体、转录因子和多种细胞内信号通路的成分磷酸化。
蛋白激酶A催化末端磷酸从ATP转移到存在于各种蛋白质上的苏氨酸或丝氨酸残基。这种蛋白质在没有环磷酸腺苷的情况下是无活性的，环磷酸腺苷是催化亚基和调节亚基结合在一起的地方。存在cAMP时，调节亚单位与cAMP结合并释放催化亚单位。

磷酸化活性： 在 pH 6.5、30°C，一单位每分钟可将 1.0 pmol磷酸盐从 ATP转化为水解和部分去磷酸化的酪蛋白，并可通过测量ADP产量进行测定。
