Immunogen

The epitope recognized by PLA0288 maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human TAF5, TAF5 RNA Polymerase II, TATA Box Binding Protein (TBP)-Associated Factor, 100kDa using the numbering given in entry NP_008882.2 (GeneID 6877).

Other Notes

The TFIID complex is important for coordinating the pre-initiation complex and transcription by RNA Pol II. The complex contains the TFIID protein, TATA binding protein (TBP), and multiple TBP-associated factors (TAFs). TAF5 is an integral subunit of the transcriptionally competent TFIID complex.
