General description
The Human CD200 (also known as OX-2) ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human CD200 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.

Biochem/physiol Actions
CD antigen 200 (CD200) acts as an immunosuppressor and is involved in maintaining immune homeostasis. The gene is overexpressed in a number of human cancers. The protein supports tumor growth and invasion by suppressing anti-tumor immune responses. CD200 is considered as a biomarker in colon cancer and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Deficiency of CD200 results in hyper-activation of macrophages and enhanced immune response to autoimmune disease.
