General description
The Human hCG (intact) (human Chorionic Gonadotropin) ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human hCG (intact) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.

Human hCG (intact) ELISA Kit has been used in the detection of β-human chorionic gonadotropin in human plasma samples.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) produced by syncytiotrophoblast cells of the placenta, is crucial for the maintenance of pregnancy and corpus luteum functionality. Hyperglycosylated hCG (hCGh) not only promotes cell growth during implantation, but favors tumor growth and invasion in cancer. hCGh levels is indicative of malignancies like Down syndrome in pregnancies. hCG based vaccine has contraceptive functionality.
