IL-6（白细胞介素6）是一种多效细胞因子，它能够调节免疫和炎症反应，从而在宿主防御中发挥重要作用。IL-6由T细胞、单核细胞、成纤维细胞、内皮细胞和角质形成细胞产生，具有多种生物学功能。它能刺激B细胞分化和抗体产生，与IL-3协同作用于巨核细胞发育和血小板生成，诱导肝急性期蛋白的表达，并调节骨代谢。IL-6与各种自身免疫疾病和炎症疾病有关。类风湿性关节炎患者的滑液中含有高浓度的IL-6。它还与慢性炎症性增生性疾病以及B细胞恶性肿瘤、Castleman病和浆细胞瘤/多发性骨髓瘤有关。
