白介素8（IL-8）/CXCL8是一种重要的趋化因子和中性粒细胞激活剂。它可从牙龈缝隙中的内皮细胞、牙龈成纤维细胞、中性粒细胞、单核细胞和吞噬细胞中释放出来。IL-8属于CXC子家族。该基因位于人染色体4q13.3。
