甲状腺球蛋白（TG）是一种甲状腺激素。它在甲状腺的L-甲状腺素（四碘甲状腺原氨酸，T4）和L-三碘甲腺原氨酸（T3）激素的产生中起着至关重要的作用。TG的酪氨酰充当碘化和激素形成的底物。血清甲状腺球蛋白水平可作为分化型甲状腺癌转移的标志物。该基因突变与先天性甲状腺功能减退症和非地方性单纯性甲状腺肿的发展有关。
