SET (SET nuclear oncogene) is an oncoprotein. It is also termed as I2PP2A (protein phosphatase type 2A inhibitor II)/TAF-1β. It is located on human chromosome 9q34.11. SET belongs to the inhibitor of histone acetyltransferase (INHAT) complex, that blocks histone acetylation.
