General description
Complement component 1 Q subcomponent-like 1 (C1QL1) is conserved among the vertebrates. C1QL1 gene codes for a multimeric protein with a 258 amino acid polypeptide and a hydrophobic signal sequence. The encoded protein consists of a collagenous region and a globular domain. The gene is broadly expressed in brain, predominantly in the brainstem.
Biochem/physiol Actions
The proteins belonging to the C1q/TNF (complement component 1 Q subcomponent-like 1/ tumor necrosis factor) family are known to be associated with numerous systems such as immune, endocrine, skeletal, neuronal, reproductive, sensory and vascular systems. They are also involved in the regulation of glucose metabolism.
Physical form
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
