Ifi204 inhibits the transcription of ribosomal RNA.Ifi204 may inhibit DNA binding by UBTF. Ifi204 inhibits cell growth via TP53/p53 and RB1-dependent and independent pathways.Ifi204 acts as a coactivator of RUNX2 during osteogenesis. Ifi204 may be involved in macrophage differentiation.Ifi204 enables skeletal muscle and cardiac myocyte differentiation by sequestring Id proteins in the cytosol and promoting their ubiquitination and subsequent degradation.
