Biochem/physiol Actions
Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2B (CDKN2B) plays a key role in the cell cycle and senescence. It participates in the differentiation of the hematopoietic cell. CDKN2B gene is involved in the pathogenesis of T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). Homozygous deletion of the CDKN2B gene or p15INK4B locus on chromosome results in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Silencing of p15INK4B is associated with myelodysplastic syndromes, leukemia, and myeloproliferative diseases.

General description
Anti-p15 INK Antibody detects endogenous levels of total p15 INK protein.
Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2B (CDKN2B) gene codes for tumor-suppressor p15INK4B protein. p15INK4B is a member of the INK4 family of protein kinase inhibitors. In bone marrow cells, p15INK4B expression is mainly seen at a high level in maturing monocytes/macrophages and lymphocytes. It is located in the nucleus and cytoplasm. The CDKN2B gene is mapped to human chromosome 9p21.3. Anti-p15 INK Antibody detects endogenous levels of total p15 INK protein.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human p15 INK.
Immunogen Range: 89-138

Senescent tumor cells are nonproliferating tumor cells which are closely related to cancer progression by secreting senescence-related molecules, called senescence-associated secreting phenotypes. Therefore, the presence of senescent tumor cells is considered a prognostic factor in various cancer types. Although senescence-associated

We identified principal genetic alterations in 97.1% (99/102) of patients with T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) using integrative genetic analyses, including massive parallel sequencing and multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA). A total of 133 mutations were identified in the following genes
