The GRB2 associated binding protein 1 (GAB1) protein is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 4q31.21. The encoded protein belongs to the Grb2-associated binding protein family. GAB1 protein structure contains pleckstrin homology domain and tyrosine residues. Anti-GAB1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total GAB1 protein.

Upregulated expression of GAB1 contributes to the progression of various types of cancer including human oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), breast cancer, colorectal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and ovarian cancer. Therefore, knockdown of the GAB1 gene can be considered as a potential therapeutic strategy for treating breast cancer and OSCC.
