General description
NKTR (Natural killer-tumor recognition sequence) is a 150kDa subunit of a putative tumor-recognition complex. It is expressed on the surface of natural killer cells. It contains an amino-terminal hydrophobic region, a cyclophilin-related domain, three histone-like domains, and three arginine and serine-rich domains.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human NKTR.
Immunogen Range: 784-833
Immunogen Range: 784-833
Application
Anti-NKTR antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for immunohistochemistry and indirect immunofluorescence studies.
Biochem/physiol Actions
NKTR (Natural killer-tumor recognition sequence) plays an important role in NK-cell cytotoxicity in human T-cells. It participates in identifying as well as NK-like killing. It has been reported that IL2 (interleukin 2) control the NKTR activity by altering the RNA splicing pattern.

We have recently isolated and characterized human and mouse genes of a putative natural killer (NK) cell tumour-recognition protein (NK-TR) that is specifically expressed in NK cells. This gene codes for a 150 kD protein with a cyclophilin-related amino terminus
