General description
淀粉样蛋白-β(Aβ）多肽是阿尔茨海默大脑特征性老年斑的主要成分。为 I型跨膜蛋白。淀粉样β蛋白前体蛋白裂解为长度为 36-43 个氨基酸的淀粉样肽。Aβ(25-35) 代表斑块形成过程中聚集的区域，是涉及神经营养和神经毒性作用的功能域。基因编码淀粉样蛋白β定位于人类 21 号染色体。乙酰化可改善体外和体内试验的稳定性。
