SHM115 is an orally active mitochondria uncoupler (EC50 = 17 μM; measured as oxygen consumption rate (OCR) increase in L6 rat myoblast cells) that increases the energy expenditure and lowers the body fat mass in two diet-induced obesity mouse models, including an obesity prevention model (130 mg/kg/d via chow) and an obesity reversal model (130 mg/kg/d via oral gavage).
