SRI-32743 is an allosteric modulator of monoamine transporters that acts as partial antagonists of dopamine uptake. SRI-32743 attenuates Tat (the HIV regulatory protein transactivator of transcription) induced inhibition of DAT-mediated dopamine uptake. Also, it alleviates the potentiation of cocaine reward in HIV-1 Tat transgenic mice.
