Q275 is a potent, bacterial specific allosteric inhibitor of mitochondrial heme-copper oxidase (HCO). Q275 is an effective antibiotic against ceftriaxone-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Q275 does not affect the cellular respiration of mammalian cells.
