N6-Furfuryladenosine (Kinetin riboside) is a purine nucleoside analog. It is a naturally occurring plant cytokine and a product of oxidative DNA damage. N6-Furfuryladenosine protect cells against oxidative stress and delay of age-related phenotypes in human fibroblasts. N6-furfuryladenosine enhances mitochondrial turnover and bioenergetics in the diabetic mouse retina (Ins2Akita males). N6-Furfuryladenosine displays strong antiproliferative activity in various human cancer cells.
