Application

AFN-1252 may be used to evaluate its inhibitory effect on the growth of Burkholderia pseudomallei bacteria; and has been used in minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and rate of kill studies to study its in vitro activity against Staphylococcus aureus.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Debio 1452 (AFN-1252) is an inhibitor of staphylococcal enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase (FabI), an enzyme critical to fatty acid biosynthesis in Staphylococcus spp.
