Caffeic acid glycoside derivative that exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, antiapoptotic, antiaging, as well as antitumor activities.
Plantamajoside is a caffeic acid glycoside derivative that exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, antiapoptotic, antiaging, as well as antitumor activities. Plantamajoside suppresses the production of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α in a dose-dependent manner, and inhibits phosphorylation of IκBα, p65, p38, JNK and ERK. Plantamajoside also inhibits LPS-induced PI3K and AKT phosphorylation and suppresses acute lung injury in mice. It protects hypoxia-reoxygenation-induced H9c2 cardiomyocytes injury by stimulating the ILK/c-Src/Akt signaling and inhibiting the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway.
