MIV-150 is a nonnucleoside, highly potent allosteric inhibitor of HIV-1 and HIV-2 reverse transcriptase that is effective against multiple drug resistant HIV mutants including non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, and protease inhibitors. It is under development as topical microbicide to prevent HIV infection.
