PEAK1, UNACTIVE

Useful for kinase assay and Western blot.

Recombinant human PEAK1 (1127-end) was expressed by Baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. PEAK1 or Pseudopodium-enriched atypical kinase 1 is a protein tyrosine kinase which belongs to NKF3 kinase family and regulates the cytoskeleton and has been shown to be involved in cancer progression ⁽¹⁾. PEAK1 promotes anchorage-independent growth in the MDA-MB-435 human cancer cell line and promotes tumor progression of XPA-1 human pancreatic cancer cells when transplanted into the pancreas of nude mice. PEAK1 is highly expressed in spleen, followed by heart, ovary, brain, lung, kidney, and fetal brain ⁽²⁾.

Formulated in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM PMSF, with 25% glycerol.

Store in aliquots at -70°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
