PIP4K2B, Active

Recombinant full-length human PIP4K2B was expressed by Baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. PIP4K2B (phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate 4-kinase, type II, beta) catalyzes the phosphorylation of phospha-tidylinositol-5-phosphate on the fourth hydroxyl of the myo-inositol ring to form phosphatidylinositol-5,4-bisphosphate. PIP4K2B is a member of the phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate 4-kinase family. PIP5K2B interacts specifically with the juxtamembrane region of the p55 TNF receptor and that PIP5K2B activity is increased in mammalian cells by treatment with TNF-alpha ⁽¹⁾. PIP5P4KB plays a role in determining insulin sensitivity and adiposity ⁽²⁾.

Formulated in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM PMSF, with 25% glycerol.

Store in aliquots at -70°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
