General description
EGF (epidermal growth factor) 是一种强效的生长因子，能刺激多种表皮和上皮细胞的增殖。重组鼠 EGF 是一种 6 kDa 的球状蛋白，含有 53 个氨基酸残基，包括 3 个分子内二硫键。
Application
来自小鼠的 EGF 也用于 DMEM/F12 培养基中培养小鼠肾细胞。
Biochem/physiol Actions
表皮生长因子 (EGF) 具有抑制胃液分泌、促进伤口愈合的作用。 EGF 通过一种称为 c-erbB 的受体传递信号，c-erbB 是一类酪氨酸激酶受体。该受体还与 TGF（转化生长因子）-α和 VGF（牛痘病毒生长因子）结合。EGF 在胚胎发生和心脏发生中起重要角色。
Physical form

Preparation Note
打开前离心小瓶。用水复溶至 0.5-1.0 mg/mL 浓度。切勿涡旋。该溶液可在 2-8°C 条件下至多储存 1 周。为了延长储存时间，建议在含有载体蛋白（例如 0.1%BSA）的缓冲液中进一步稀释，并在-20°C 至-80°C 下储存。
