General description
白介素8（IL-8）是一种促炎性的CXC趋化因子，可以通过C-X-C基序趋化因子受体1和2（CXCR1和2）进行信号转导。它也被称为C-X-C基序趋化因子配体8（CXCL8）。IL-8是由单核细胞和内皮细胞分泌的。编码Il-8的基因位于人染色体4q13.3。重组人IL-8（单核细胞衍生）是含有72个氨基酸残基的8.4 kDa蛋白质。
Biochem/physiol Actions
白细胞介素8（IL-8）能够趋化并激活嗜中性粒细胞。它可参与引导嗜中性粒细胞和少突胶质细胞至感染部位。该蛋白还可刺激血管生成和肿瘤生长。它还与炎症疾病有关。

Preparation Note
