一般描述

白细胞介素-35（IL-35）是由调节性T细胞（Treg）产生的新型IL-12家族细胞因子，但不是由静息或活化的效应T细胞（Teff）产生的。 IL-35是由EBI3（Epstein-Barr-病毒诱导的基因3）和IL-12a（p35）组成的异二聚体蛋白质。EBI3是Foxp3的下游靶标，Foxp3是Treg细胞发育和功能所需的转录因子，因此会发生Treg细胞限制IL35的表达。

应用

Il-35已被用于研究其在小鼠模型中对急性移植物抗宿主病的免疫抑制作用。

生化/生理作用

调节性T细胞对于维持自身耐受性和预防自身免疫是必需的，并且IL-35被鉴定为介导Treg细胞的免疫抑制功能的分子。作为抑制性细胞因子，IL-35可诱导Treg细胞群的增殖，但会抑制Th17细胞的发育。在小鼠中的研究表明，使用炎症性肠病的实验模型，来自Treg细胞的IL-35链的缺失会降低细胞抑制炎症的能力。IL-35被认为是免疫疗法的潜在靶点。

其他说明
