生化/生理作用

α-众所周知，生育酚是一种自由基链断裂剂，因为其具有抗氧化特性。
生育酚（TCP）（维生素E）是一系列（α、β、γ和δ）手性有机分子，其色原烷醇环的苯酚部分甲基化程度不同。生育酚是脂溶性抗氧化剂，可保护细胞膜免受氧化损伤。α-生育酚是人类优先吸收的一种生育酚形式。生育酚乙酸酯具有与α-生育酚类似但不同的性质。
