一般描述

转铁蛋白是一种分子量为80kDa的血清糖蛋白， 其半衰期为8至10天。该基因位于人染色体3q22.1上。转铁蛋白在肝细胞中表达。

应用

生化/生理作用

转铁蛋白可促进铁转运至红细胞和外周组织中。该基因的突变与转铁蛋白血症有关。转铁蛋白是胎儿发育必需的物质。它是非免疫原性的，并且转铁蛋白偶联药物可抑制心脏毒性和耐药性。
