Application

Human Testosterone Receptor was used to study the role of androgens in producing cardiac hypertrophy on cardiac myocytes by direct, receptor-specific mechanisms.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Human Testosterone Receptor also referred to as androgen receptor (AR) belongs to nuclear receptor family and is activated in the presence of androgenic hormones testosterone or dihydrotestosterone. This receptor functions as a DNA-binding transcription factor and facilitates the regulation of gene expression. AR a role in mediating the proliferation and differentiation of endometrium.

Physical form

Membranes are suspended in 25 mM HEPES containing 1 mM EDTA, 10% glycerol, 10 mM sodium molybdate, pH 7.4. Actual concentration and specific binding capacity are provided with each lot.
