General description
糜胰蛋白酶抑制剂属于植物蛋白酶抑制剂家族。它主要存在于豆类(Fabaceae)和谷物类(Poaceae)。糜胰蛋白酶抑制剂中保守的半胱氨酸残基之间有多个二硫键,可维持抑制环的结构稳定性和活性构象。糜胰蛋白酶具有抗癌性质。
Bowman-Birk抑制剂通过七个二硫键进行高度的交联,具有胰蛋白酶和胰凝乳蛋白酶抑制的空间上不同的结构域。
Application
来源于大豆的糜胰蛋白酶抑制剂已被用于流式细胞术分离酶活性检测。它还被用于体外胃肠道 (GI) 消化研究,用于抑制I胰蛋白酶和糜蛋白酶。
Bowman Birk蛋白酶抑制剂可通过减少不正确的DNA修复来防止辐射诱导的癌症生成,从而减少双着丝粒染色体的数量。

在25℃、pH 7.6条件下,以BAEE为底物,一单位胰蛋白酶 = 每分钟产生0.001的ΔA253。反应体积 = 3.2 mL(1 cm光程)。
