General description
VRK2 is a serine/threonine kinase that is expressed in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells. This kinase modulates autophagy, cell cycle, MAPK-mediated signaling pathways and cell death. Decreased levels of VRK2 have been associated with breast cancer . Anti-VRK2 antibody is specific for human VRK2. In immunoblotting, detection of the VRK2 band is specifically inhibited by the VRK2 immunizing peptide.
Application
Anti-VRK2 antibody is suitable for use in western blot (0.5-1.0 μg/mL using HEK-293T cell lysate expressing human VRK2) and immunoblot (approx. 58 kDa).
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
