Clone 1J6 is a ZooMAb® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Prokineticin receptor 2 (PROKR2). It targets an epitope within 16 amino acids from the first extracellular domain in the N-terminal region.

General description
Prokineticin receptor 2 (UniProt: Q8NFJ6; also known as PK-R2, PKR2, G-protein coupled receptor 73-like 1, G-protein coupled receptor I5E, GPR73b, GPRg2) is encoded by the PROKR2 (also known as GPR73L1, PKR2) gene (Gene ID: 128674) in human. Prokineticins bind to two different G protein-coupled receptors known as prokineticin receptor-1 and -2 (PROKR1 and PROKR2) that display about 85% sequence identity. They bind to PROK1 and PROK2 with nanomolar range affinities. PROKR2 is a multi-pass membrane protein with seven transmembrane domains. Its expression is observed in the ileocecum, thyroid gland, pituitary gland, salivary gland, adrenal gland, testis, ovary, and the brain. It is exclusively coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins. Its activation leads to mobilization of calcium, stimulation of phosphoinositide turnover, and activation of p44/p42 mitogen-activated protein kinase. Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids from the N-terminal, first extracellular domain of human Prokineticin receptor 2 (PROKR2).
Physical form
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.
Preparation Note
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.
