Environmental
Mepronil is a systemic fungicide used to control diseases caused by Basidomycetes on rice, potatoes, cotton and top fruit. It is not approved for use as a plant protection product in the European Union under Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009. Maximum reference levels (MRLs) have been set according to Reg. (EU) No 899/2021 for mepronil for various products of plant and animal origin in the range of 0.01 - 0.05 mg/kg. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
