Application
Propanil is a post-emergence herbicide used for broad-leaved and annual grass weed control in rice and other crops such as wheat, potatoes. It is moderately soluble in water and has a low volatility. It is not approved according to Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009 for use as a plant protection product in the European Union. Maximum residue levesl (MRLs) for propanil have been set accroding to Reg. (EU) 1146/2014 for various products of plant and animal origin in the range of 0.01 - 0.05 mg/kg. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
