Biochem/physiol Actions

Potassium two pore domain channel subfamily K member 18 (KCNK18) or TRESK contributes to background K+ currents in sensory neurons. Mutations in the gene encoding it have been associated with familial migraine with aura.

General description

Potassium two pore domain channel subfamily K member 18 (KCNK18) or TRESK is part of the potassium channel family. It is expressed in trigeminal and dorsal root ganglions. The protein is activated by calcium signals. The TRESK gene is localized on human chromosome 10q25.3.

Immunogen

TRESK antibody was raised against a 17 amino acid peptide from near the center of human TRESK.

Other Notes

The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP3500141.

Physical form

Supplied in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide.
